I believe that everything happens for a reason and that everyone is who they are meant to be. There is a meaning behind everything and everyone. I am who I am for a reason so why would I want to change my flaws? Flaws aren't made to be changed, they are made to be loved and embraced. It's not easy to love the negative aspects of yourself, it never is, but it's worth accepting that all the things that are wrong about you, are right about you.
There is always room for improvement when making changes about yourself. I'm not saying that you can't change yourself or your flaws. You can if you want to, but there is a difference between changing yourself and your flaws. You shouldn't want to change your flaws because they make you who you are.
Here is a list of reasons why you should love having flaws.
Being flawed makes you real & authentic
Authenticity is hard to come by these days. If you want to stand out, be authentic. Be real. Be you. Why would you ever want to be anyone else? Sure, they may have all the things that you want, but have you ever thought that maybe you have all the things that they want? Though, when it comes to thoughts like these, remember to stay positive and humble.
Being flawed makes you human
Having imperfections makes you human. The sooner you realize this, the sooner you can embrace who you are. I think you should respect yourself by not altering anything about yourself. However, if you have toxic traits, then yes, you need to make some improvements and become a better person.
Keep in mind that flaws and toxic traits are two different things. Toxic traits are negative aspects that hurt you and other people around you. For example, toxic traits could include gaslighting, thinking that you are better than everyone else, seeing yourself as a victim of your behavior, or being manipulative toward others. The list could go on and on.
Flaws, on the other hand, are negative aspects that make you who you are. In other words, you are meant to look the way you look and be who you are meant to be. There are physical flaws and emotional flaws. Physically, you may not have the perfect straight hair or you may have acne on your skin or the perfect body. But let's be real, no one has perfect anything. It may seem like they do on Social Media, but it's all a lie so don't believe everything that you see on Social Media.
Emotional flaws are parallel to the ocean; they are deeper and darker. Some people avoid feeling anything because they don't want to face the truth. I think it's important that you feel everything.
Now think about this: why do you feel the way you do about certain situations or people? Why do you feel a certain way when someone betrays you? Put some thought behind these questions because it will help you understand why being emotionally flawed can be a good thing.
When you are emotionally impacted by other people's actions and behaviors towards you, you become vulnerable. If you can learn to be less vulnerable, you can handle your emotional flaws. Keyword: handle. I don't think it's possible to get rid of your emotional flaws because it's what makes you human.
So, why are emotional flaws a good thing? Because they make you strong. It's as simple as that. You don't need to change your emotional flaws, you need to change your perspective on them. Every negative flaw that you have can be turned into a positive characteristic. All you need to do is change your perspective.
Being flawed makes you seen
Everyone in this world knows at least one person, whether it's a friend or a family member. Your friends and family know you as who you are and they love you for it so why become someone you are not meant to be? Why are you trying so hard to change?
You are seen and you are loved just the way you are. It's hard for many people to accept this because they don't believe in themselves. They don't believe that they are good enough as they are. Believing in positivity is powerful, yet many people don't know it.
To conclude, remember that being seen as who you are right now is beautiful because there is no one in this world that is exactly like you. Have the courage to stay true to yourself.
